TEKNOFEST AEROSPACE AND TECHNOLOGY FESTIVAL

TEKNOFEST is Turkey’s first and only aerospace and technology festival organized with the partnership of numerous organizations that play a crucial role in the development of national technology in Turkey. Having been organized for the first time in 2018, TEKNOFEST Aerospace and Technology Festival aims to arouse interest in technology throughout the society and raise awareness about Turkey’s transformation into a technology developing society with such activities as technology competitions, air shows, concerts, interviews on various topics, and various events. Technology competitions in various disciplines and categories are organized within TEKNOFEST in order for thousands of young people to realize their dreams. While a total of 4,333 teams and 20 thousand young competitors applied for the technology competitions organized in 14 different categories in 2018, 17,373 teams and 50 thousand competitors from 81 provinces and 122 countries applied for the competitions organized in 19 different categories in the following year. When we look back at 2020, a total of 100 thousand young technology enthusiasts and 20,917 teams from 81 provinces and 84 countries applied for the technology competitions in 21 different categories, which took place within TEKNOFEST, hosted by Gaziantep. Organized for the fourth time from 21 to 26 September 2021 at Atatürk Airport, TEKNOFEST Aerospace and Technology Festival welcomed 44,912 teams and 200,000 people from 81 provinces and 111 countries who applied for the technology competitions held in 35 different categories. 2,200 teams and 13,000 individuals were qualified to compete as finalists. Taking inspiration from its past, TEKNOFEST continues its journey towards National Technology Initiative with confident steps.
